Security & how it works
We never hold or see your private keys. You stay in control.
Your wallet stays yours
You connect your wallet (e.g. MetaMask) to sign in and to sign agreements. Your private key never leaves your device. MyPact never has access to it. We only request signatures for actions you choose, such as signing off on an agreement or releasing funds.
Where the funds are
In Escrow agreements, the locked funds are held by the smart contract on the blockchain—not by MyPact. We don’t custody your money. When everyone has signed and someone triggers release, the contract sends the funds to the payee. We never touch them.
What you’re signing
When you "Sign off," you’re sending a transaction from your wallet to the agreement’s smart contract. That records your approval on-chain. It’s a technical action, not a legal signature in the traditional sense. We show you a short summary before you sign.
Testnet first
You can create agreements on Sepolia (testnet) with no real money. When you’re ready, you can use Base for real funds. We make the choice clear when you create an agreement.
